September 2, 2014 - The 2014 Atlanta Summerfest horse show series came to a close last week at Chattahoochee Hills Event Center in Fairburn, GA. Highlights of the third and final week included a $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby on Friday night. Julie Curtin and Charlotte Warren's Enticement took home the blue ribbon topping a tough field of 27 competitors. Julie also took home a custom Turbo-dry Jog Sheet from Centaur and a One K Helmet all courtesy of English Riding Supply.
 

 
Capping off a fabulous three weeks of competition, Tim Maddrix and Baily Martin's Contador De Bornival Z won the $10,000 Atlanta Summerfest Jumper Classic on Saturday evening edging out Cantori and Aleece Jarman who captured second place. Third place honors went to DiCaprio and Lawren Campbell. Complete horse show results can be found at www.equusevents.com.

Attention now turns to Aiken, SC and the 7th annual Aiken Fall Festival Horse Show which kicks off this Thursday. Features include a $15,000 Jumper Classic each week, a $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby week 1, the SCHJA Governor's Cup Finals, The First Tee of Aiken Bridles and Birdies Relay Challenge, Zone 4 Finals, daily hospitality and exhibitors’ parties and much, much more.
