August 24, 2014 - The final week of the 2014 Atlanta Summerfest series kicked off on Thursday at beautiful Chattahoochee Hills in Fairburn, GA.  The three week sold out horse show series takes place August 7-24 and is managed by Aiken, SC based Equus Events and JP Godard.  An exhibitor favorite, the facility boasts an 8,000 acre equestrian paradise filled with established pastures, lakes, and woodlands with ample room to ride, all located along the Chattahoochee River.  The footing and stabling are both exceptional and the schedule allows for early days so exhibitors can enjoy the nearby lake, Six Flags, or the hustle and bustle of nearby downtown Atlanta which is only minutes away.

Highlights from Week I included a $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby taking place Friday evening along with an exhibitors’ Pizza Party sponsored by this year's hospitality sponsors; The Tack Room, New Vintage Farm, Fox Lake Farm, The Atlanta Hunt Club, Eurimports and Glenn and Stephanie Hartigan, Hillford Farm, Stevehaven Stables.  Park Place owned and ridden by Hannah Bedwell took home top honors in the Derby.  Complete results are as follows:
