We just wrapped up the 2020 edition of the Aiken Fall Festival show series. The competition was fierce as Bruce's Field was host to some of the top horses and riders in the country. Many thanks to all of our amazing exhibitors, trainers, sponsors, and staff for a successful and smoothly run two weeks. Congratulations to all of our feature class winners as well as circuit champions! 

Aiken Fall Festival I


Doug Payne rode Jane Dudinsky's Quintessence to the win in the feature class of the Aiken Fall Festival I, the $25,000 Grand Prix Presented by Aiken Saddlery. Grey Fox Crossing's Dr. J with Grant Seger in the irons placed second and Camille Maddrix earned third place honors aboard M&M Sporthorses' Jack Straw.

In the California Split $5,000 Aiken Welcome Stakes, Kyle Dewar rode his Clever Van De Helle to the win as did Doug Payne with Jane Dudinsky's Quintessence.

The $7,500 William E. Howard III Memorial USHJA National Hunter Derby & The $7,500 Junior/Amateur USHJA National Hunter Derby Presented by Barb Gould Uskup & findaikenhomesandfarms.com were held on Friday. Liza Boyd and Gigi Manigault's Walk-Off were the winners of the William E. Howard III Memorial USHJA National Hunter Derby and Sydney Degrazia rode her own Reveille Z to the win in the Junior/Amateur USHJA National Hunter Derby.

Aiken Fall Festival II


The feature class of Aiken Fall Festival II, the $25,000 "R Bruce Duchossois" Grand Prix Presented by Friends of RBD and Jack Wetzel, was held Saturday morning. Daniel Geitner rode November Hill's Vesta De Lavardin to the win. Holly Shepherd finished second with Loretta Patterson's CHS Krooze and Kyle Dewar was aboard his mount Chapeau M top round out the top three.

Daniel Geitner was also victorious in the $5,000 The Carolinas Equestrian Magazine Welcome Stakes held earlier in the week. Geitner piloted Dayna Gant's Ghiradelli to the win, Darragh Kerins rode Chilmark Farm LLC's Marshmello to second and Josh Dolan finished third aboard Blue Gate Farm LLC's Ekilly Van De Horst.

In the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby held on Friday morning, Hunt Tosh rode Ceil Wheeler's Autograph to the top honors. Havens Schatt finished second and third, with Caroline Moran's Mostly Sunny and Ken and Amy Wexler LLC's Cascartini, respectively.

The $2,500 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby Sponsored by The Tarumianz Family was held on Friday evening and Elle Boyd was in the saddle for the win aboard GC Ponies, LLC's Elegance. Campbell Clement rode Caroline Gilmer's Farnley Crown Prince to the second place honors and Emily Grace Swinson finished third with GC Ponies, LLC's Etch-A-Sketch.

The 2020 SCHJA Governor's Cup Medal Finals were held Sunday morning and Kate Mills trained by Alicia Wilkinson topped the field. Grace Rabb, also trained by Alicia Wilkinson, finished second and MaryHunter Millet trained by Jennifer Churchill finished third.
